ATV/BC has long heard and understood that we need to better support families and youth.
For 2009 ATV/BC developed a new secondary class of membership with dues reduced for a spouse by $15 vs the price of a primary membership. At the time the membership committee also recommended that for the next year the board make the necessary bylaw changes and institute an all-inclusive family membership which would allow spouse and children in the same household to join ATV/BC at one low price. The requisite bylaw changes were completed and approved at the AGM in Elkford.
At the AGM in Elkford this August the membership elected nine directors of which three were new: Don Frew (West Kootenay), Wayne Kells (Salmon Arm), and Lisa Bowell (Nanaimo).
Due to health and personal commitments, two of the recently elected Directors of ATV/BC resigned their positions. We were very sorry to lose Wayne and Lisa.
On behalf of ATV/BC the Quad Riders Association of British Columbia and the off road riding Associations & Federations of B.C. we want to congratulate the B.C. government for committing to update the ATV Act with some new regulations.
Quad Riders Association of British Columbia (ATV/BC) is entering our tenth year. There have been many changes over this time. We have recently been advised of the long awaited Registration and Licensing of ATVs. ATV/BC was involved in this process as a member of the ORV coalition. Information in this regard is available on our New and Improved Web Site.
