Merritt was the site of this years ATV/BC Poker Ride.Located at the Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo Grounds. Wonderful facility and grounds. Campers started arriving on Tuesday prior to the poker ride and continued arriving until Saturday morning.Participants were from all over this Province.Over 90 units of all sizes as well as a number of tenters.Nicola Valley Lions Club provided a concession stand with excellent food and very reasonably priced. With 200 plus in attendance made for a great time with many prizes for those lucky enough to be drawn.
There were three trails to ride and each had it's own personality. Weather was great and except for a little dust, all was good.Rides left from Pro Rodeo Grounds and went by two check points for card draws. Returning to Pro Rodeo Grounds for final draw.

This event would not be possible without the assistance and work by a number of volunteers. There were a large number of volunteers to make
this as great an event as it was, you were appreciated and many thanks to all of you.
A big thank you to all that donated prizes for this event.
Based on the camping registrations we had people from over 39 different communities of British Columbia, one from Edson, Alberta and one from Estavan Sask. Vancouver Island has 21 camping units which was the most from any area.
Estimate 200 to 250 ATVs and 300 or more people attending.
