ATV/BC Face to Face Spring Meeting - Chilliwack
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that participated in the face to face spring meeting in Chilliwack this past weekend.
Robert did an excellent job of organizing the event, especially since he had to do it from Fort St John.
A special thanks to the speakers:
- Dave and Marg Hodgins for sharing their knowledge on trail and bridge building. Powell River Club members are very fortunate to have such dedicated people working to ensure they have riding opportunities in their area.
- Robert Hergott for taking the mystery out of applying for grants from government agencies. Robert has truly done a remarkable job for the Moose ATV Club in acquiring funds for trail maintenance and construction.
- Terry Wardrop, as always was forthcoming with his knowledge of what is happening around the province.
- Ken Anderson for his knowledge on Insurance, and of course the lunch we were provided with on Saturday, and the affinity cheque we were presented with on the weekend, thank you very much.
- GPS’ing made easy thanks to Allan (Three Valley Al) Obrigewitsch. Trying to condense a full day’s course into an hour is not easy, and for those wishing to take a full GPS course I would recommend contacting Al directly. Do not forget that the Revelstoke ATV Club is holding their GPS Poker Ride July 10 & 11 in Revelstoke.
- Thanks to Clint for the update on the AGM & Jamboree to be held in Vernon August 18-21 this year.
To all those that participated in this event, thank you, and with the comments we have received on the evaluation form that you have filled out, we can plan on making the next meeting just as successful.
