Fun at the Jamboree

New directors and new developments at this year’s AGM and Jamboree

by MOIRA JAATTEENMAKI

ATV/BC held its 2007 annual general meeting on Friday, August 17, at the Summerland Rodeo grounds.

ATVers from all parts of B.C. started arriving in Summerland on Thursday. By Friday evening the camping areas were quite full. AGM attendance was 101 members.

The meeting began with the presentation of reports from executive members, directors and the land issues and communications director. These reports had been circulated in advance to all clubs.

Then directors were elected. There were nine vacancies: eight two-year terms and one one-year term. Seven nominations had been received by the deadline and there were six nominations from the floor.

Each nominee had the opportunity to address those present with a speech.

Voting results

Elected for two-year terms were: incumbents Tom Dickson (Revelstoke), Wayne Dreger (Campbell River), Bev Felske (Quad Squad South Cariboo), Gordon Galloway (Elkford), Moira Jaatteenmaki (Revelstoke) and Sarah Johnston (Creston). New members for two years are David Galloway (Elkford) and Dennis Webb (Vernon). New member for a one-year term is Jeff Mohr (Ridgeriders Prince George).
